Inkling is a risograph print and publishing space in The Cooperage, just off Pollokshaws road in Strathbungo. The studio is a large room, which is divided into sections by freestanding divider walls. Desks come with a chair, wall space and some storage.
The rent is £200 per month which includes:
- Desk space with wall space and some storage space & your own studio keys
- 4 hours open access Risograph printing per month
- Selling space in our shop
- Opportunity to use the space for workshops
- Black & white printer and full colour scanner
- Basic print studio equipment
- Tea/coffee etc
There is a small exhibition and selling space, and a large communal use table, which everyone in the space will share. Inkling has an accessible bathroom, and commits to maintaining accessible pathways.
We strongly encourage candidates of all different backgrounds and identities to apply. We will work to reduce barriers to those who face marginalisation in shared spaces, and expect our studio desk holders to share our values. If a written form is a barrier to application you can email us directly to arrange a phone call where we will go over the questions. We will ask every applicant the same questions.
Inkling is not looking to curate an aesthetic vibe, but a community one. We will not judge portfolios or make judgements on the artistic practice of applicants.
Due to limitations this space is not suitable for all practices including: sewing, ceramics, jewellery, larger sculptural works or painting, spray painting or resin casting.
